Fire Protection Recycling Ltd has been working hard over the past two years regarding the new rules and regulations set out by the Environment Agency. We are now pleased to announce that we have achieved a permit recycle waste fire extinguishers from the Environment Agency.
Our Permit No MP3324SL
FIRE PROTECTION RECYCLING LIMITED
Units 1a-1b, Pearall Drive, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 2RA
Environmental Permitting Regulations – Waste Operations for England
MP3324SL
The Environment Agency will discontinue the RPS 132 and waste exemptions in 2025, and FPR has ahead of the game to ensure all our customers are compliant. For information on the rules and regulations set out by the Environment Agency, please click on the link below to check that your company for waste fire extinguishers is abiding by the rules and regulations and has all permits in place to accept your waste fire extinguishers.
If you are using a company that accepts your waste fire extinguishers, please check if that company has the correct permits/licenses. If they are using the RPS 132, they can only recycle 1,000 fire extinguishers per month. If the company you are using does not have any of the above in place or is recycling more than 1,000 fire extinguishers per month under the RPS 132, you must ensure they are abiding by the Environment Agency rules.
You can be confident that by using FPR, you are compliant with all the rules and regulations from both the HSE and the Environment Agency when disposing of your waste/end-of-life fire extinguishers.
FPR accepts liquid chemical fire extinguishers containing PFAS for incineration (NO FOAM TO SEWER). FPR also has an End of Waste Certificate to recycle ABC dry powder.
We believe that FPR is the only company in the UK with this permit to accept waste fire extinguishers, and you are in hands when recycling your waste fire extinguishers.
